Best Buddies
Members of Best Buddies convene for the Goosebump Jump.
Best Buddies is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing opportunities for one-on-one friendships in an integrated community and areas of employment. College students are paired with individuals from the Kent Center, and the members participate in monthly group activities, including pizza parties, bowling outings, Halloween parties, picnics, game days, as well as other various one-on-one activities to form friendships.
This year, Best Buddies participated in a Meet and Greet event, held a Matching Party, joined in the Halloween Parade with the Goose Bump Jump Float, and held several movie nights and a Halloween Costume Party. They also gathered together for Sports Day at the Worton Rec. Center, held a Talent Show for all members, and had an End-of-the-Year Barbecue.
