The Asian Culture Club
Members gathered in front of the Capitol Building at the Sakura Matsuri, the Cherry Blossom Festival.
The Asian Culture Club exists to enhance the awareness of the history, traditions, foods, languages, and customs of Asia, including China, Japan, India, Nepal, and Korea in the Washington College community and the greater Chestertown area. By holding educational and recreational programs, the Asian Culture Club is a social network that encourages members and non-members to become more engaged in the culture of international Asian countries and to appreciate what Asia is and was.
This year, the Asian Culture Club hosted Sushi Night, travelled to D.C. for the Cherry Blossom Festival, raised money for Asian relief efforts through the making and selling of origami, held Asian foreign film nights, and attended a Korean Harvest Festival.
