The International Relations Club
WAC students signed pledge cards to acknowledge rights of women in China for International Women’s Day.
The International Relations Club is dedicated to bringing international culture to WAC students, faculty, and staff, as well as to the greater Chestertown community. Through club events, such as trips to popular cultural centers in the D.C. area, discussions hosted by international students, philanthropic pursuits and their annual Culture Night, the International Relations Club aims to increase the cultural awareness of the Washington College community in a creative and exciting way.
This year, the club held their annual Culture Night, sponsored an International Talent Show, provided students the opportunity to attend the D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival, held a day of Flag Cookie Decorating, and held an event entitled, A Case for Girls, in order to garner support for women’s equality in China.
