The Musicians’ Union

Paul Reed Smith Band Concert

The Musicians’ Union brought the Paul Reed Smith Band to campus, where the band invited students and audience members to join them on stage.

The Musicians’ Union is a group of student musicians who endeavor to enhance campus social life through the avenue of the arts and to heighten creativity and help to focus the liberal arts experience on originality, dedication, and social cohesion.

As well as holding several Open Mic Nights, the Musicians’ Union brought the Paul Reed Smith Band to campus in April, and it was a huge success. Paul Reed Smith is the number one electric guitar maker in the world, in terms of quality and tone, and the event, held in Decker, gave members and non-members the chance to come together in the audience and onstage and enjoy some great music. Even First Lady Elizabeth Reiss joined in as a back-up singer with several students!
